Newman Trucking has been providing services to the Fort Hood military community since 1988. I was not part of the Rail Section until June 1997; however since 1997 I have worked with Newman Trucking often. At first his company primarily provided Trailer-On-Flat-Car (TOFC) support; unloading trailers, transporting to unit motorpools and reloading the trailers. The past several years the company has expended their services to include loading, unloading, delivery of government equipment to holding areas (this includes driving the equipment), providing rail equipment securement (tie-down services) and providing technical securement assistance and oversight to the military units shipping by rail.During my years of interaction with Newman Trucking and David Newman, Newman Trucking has been professional and has delivered services as requested. They have been very proactive and accommodating to the ever changing needs of the government.
